The estate has play areas for the youngest guests and
they can have fun sliding down the toboggan, swinging or
jumping on the elastic carpet of the play areas. With some
advance notice the proprietor’s son will organize
children’s expeditions to old castles submerged in
the forest, silver mines, ancient mills, WWII trenches
of the famous German Gothic Line on Apennines mountain
range. His children will accompany the group on the adventures.
The Le Montanine estate is 74 hectares (182 acres) made
up by 11 hectares of vineyards and 20 hectares of olive
groves, while the woodland amounts to 30 hectares. The
wines and olive oil produced by the estate have been consistently
recognized for their quality. The particular microclimate
of the area, the favorable characteristics of the soil
and the old age of some vineyards largely contribute to
the quality of the harvested grapes. While the family uses
the most modern technologies in producing their wines,
the winemaking processing still remains very traditional.
You may ask for an organized guided tour of the farm and
cellar, as well as wine tasting.
